Lance McCarthy - ReTouch Executive Director

Lance started his own deck building company his senior year of high school, and that company evolved over the next decade into what is now ReTouch.  He was licensed as a Class A General Contractor in 2003, and has been focused on building and improving the company in a way that it will continue serving its clients better each day.

Lance’s business philosophy:

"I believe that work should be approached as an opportunity to build lasting relationships and to improve the lives of those we touch.  We don’t “deal with” clients in order to do our own thing, we create a system that will most effectively meet the needs of our clients.  This requires deep honesty, frequent and responsive contact, and sensitive competence.  For all of the pressure of building and running a company, I still love waking up every morning and having the opportunity to help my clients accomplish their goals in a way they couldn’t without me."

Joel Perry - Licensed Architect and Owner of Indwell Architecture

Gordon Grohmann - Administrative Coordinator

Gordon started a telecommunications business in 1985 selling a new service called "voicemail". Maybe you have heard of it. In 1985, no one had. It was not uncommon for customers to request that their "tape" be sent to them because they envisioned a huge bank of answering machines taking their messages. In 2005 the company was sold and he went to work for a company selling fork lift batteries. He was very successful, but the traveling became more than he would like so in 2010 he took a position with ReTouch. Gordon saw an opportunity to work with a dynamic young company where his experience in business and life could be put to use helping the company grow and become even more successful.

Gordon's business philosophy:

"My belief is that the focus of any good business is doing whatever it takes to serve the customer in a way that everyone "wins". The client's needs should always be exceeded and the company should make a reasonable profit that ensures it can endure and grow."

Josh Miller - Project Manager

Josh started out as an OSHA consultant for the State of Kansas and spent a number of years in the private pharmaceutical and animal health sector focused on environmental health and safety compliance before deciding that a desk job was not what he had envisioned. He left the security of a global company and started his own business working on houses. Over the last 6 years he has worked on many types of commercial construction projects but he found that working with clients in remodeling their homes was the most rewarding and so made the move to ReTouch in order to pursue his passion.

"I believe that houses are not just the "things" that we live in but are extensions of who we are and in so being we express ourselves through the changing of these spaces."

Bruce McCullough - Project Coordinator

Bruce started his own remodel company in 2009, focusing on basement and bathroom remodels. He worked to help make the clients dreams and goals a reality in the spaces he worked in. He also worked as a sub contractor for ReTouch many times before becoming a full time employee. He has enjoyed working for ReTouch and getting to know the clients that it serves.

"I enjoy walking into a clients space and helping them realize the potential of what we could help them accomplish, and the journey that it takes us on."

Corey Brest - Project Coordinator

Corey grew up around small remodeling projects. He went into business for himself in 2006 remodeling office spaces and bathrooms and basements until 2008 when he left for school. Graduated with B.A. in christian education with a youth ministry emphasis. Joined the ReTouch group in January of 2012 as a go-for man. 

Tyler Logan - Project Coordinator

Tyler got his start by installing windows, then moved towards more finishing work in homes through the years. Started his own remodel company and enjoyed providing work while maintaining good relationships based on his quality of work and character with his clients. Started working as a sub contractor through Retouch before getting hired on as a full-time employee.

"I believe the most important part of a remodel project is not just the general outcome, but the the clients overall happiness with the entire process. I want them to be satisfied with an excellent product as well as a gratifying experience."

Kara Kersten - Interior Designer and Owner of Kara Kersten Design

Kara has been drawing, creating, and planning since she was a little girl. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from the accredited 5-year program of Interior Architecture & Product Design from Kansas State University in 2007. She jumped into the remodeling industry right out of school and grew her experience in helping to create custom award-winning homes. Since then, she started her own company, Kara Kersten Design, with a passion for combining art and architecture. Her primary service is helping clients pick out their product selections and making sure it all goes with the overall vision of the design. Kara is great at meeting the clients' needs and wants, while bringing that spark of creativity that exceeds your project expectations. She lives for the thrill of design and the satisfaction of creating a lasting relationship with her clients.

"Residential Design & Remodeling is a very personal process. You're disturbing someone's home, moving through their daily space, and yet enhancing the way they live and feel for years to come. It can't be successful without first being sensitive to the clients' needs and creating a personal relationship with them. That's what I enjoy most."

Erik Haberkorn - Service Coordindator 

Erik started his own painting company his Sophomore year of high school and continues to be a steady backup hand for ReTouch. He graduated from Emporia State University in 2009. Before joining the ReTouch team, he worked as Program Coordinator for the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association developing continuing legal education seminars.
